Terms of Sale
The following terms and conditions apply to all transactions on WholesaleFiresteels.co.uk or any of our other websites, and with Oaks Online Shopping Company Ltd (hereafter, known as the company). Placing an order (by any method) indicates your acceptance of these terms and conditions. Please read them carefully and print a copy for future reference.
The Contract Between Us
By placing an order, you are making an offer which the company can either accept or decline. We must receive payment of the whole of the price for the goods that you order before your order can be accepted. Once payment has been received by us we will confirm if your order has been accepted by sending an email to you at the email address you provide in your order form (If this does not arrive within 24 hours please notify us). Our acceptance of your order brings into existence a legally binding contract between us. The agreement is governed by English law.
Making a Purchase
We accept the following: MaterCard credit card; Visa/debit/credit cards; Maestro; JCB; Visa Electron and Paypal (Please note we may decline Paypal for some transactions due to the nature of the product, or your locality).
We will also accept UK cheques in GBP, however they must be made out to Oaks Online Shopping Company Ltd, and if the item is classed as restricted (i.e. you need to be over 18 years of age) you must provide a copy of ID such as a driving license. There is a £2 admin fee for cheque payments.
Credit Card Security
Our main online stores payment pages are securely hosted and encrypted by SagePay. We do not see or store your card details. This provides the secure link between our website and your bank to ensure that our customers' card details are kept secure. Our other sites use Paypal and or safe credit/debit card transactions via telephone being processed in a similar way to the above.
Currencies Accepted
We currently only accept payment in pounds sterling (£).
Stock availability
We hold large stocks of most products that we sell. If an item shows as in stock, and the product description doesn’t state otherwise, then you can rest assured we have that product on our shelves ready for a quick dispatch.
This said, please bear in mind that system and human errors do sometimes occur, but this is rare!
We endeavor to deliver your goods to you within 1-7 days (excl weekends, public holidays & staff holidays). However please don’t order on the assumption that your products will arrive next day, although they very often do.
If a bulk order is placed via telephone, and we don't hold enough stock at the time of the order, we will place items which are unavailable on back order.
Delivery Of Goods To You
We will deliver the goods ordered by you to the address you give us for delivery at the time you make your order; this cannot be changed at a later date. Delivery will be made as soon as possible after your order is accepted and in any event within 30 days of your order. You will become the owner of the goods you have ordered when they have been delivered to you. Once goods have been delivered to you they will be held at your own risk and we will not be liable for their loss or destruction.
Refused deliveries are subject to a return fee plus an admin fee, these fees will vary depending on the order and which shipping method was used to send it. If a re-delivery request is made you will be re-charged the Initial shipping fee, plus the return fee and any further costs incurred by the company.
Shipping and Handling
We will only send items within the UK and ROI (please contact us first if you wish to have your order sent outside of the UK or ROI). Postage and Packing charges for orders within the UK or ROI are based on the following rates.
UK Mainland
£0.01 - £20.00 = £3.95
£20.01 - £50.00 = £4.95
£50.01 - £70.00 = £5.95
Above £70.00 = £6.95
Or For the Republic Of Ireland
£0.01 - charge: £4.95
£10.01 - charge: £6.95
£20.01 - charge: £8.95
£40.01 - charge: £10.95
£60.01 - charge: £13.95
£80.01 - charge: £19.95
We will send items by either courier, standard, recorded or special delivery. Please note that some extra heavy, large or strange shaped items may have a surcharge added to them. If this is the case, this will be clearly stated alongside the item in the basket. Postage to remote areas of the British Isles may cost more, in which case we will contact you for further payment. Please also note that postal fees may differ if you place your order via telephone.
Delivery Schedule
We will endeavor to deliver stock items within 1-7 working days of your order placement. Non-stock items (clearly stated) may take up to 30 days (we will contact you should there be further delays). Please note that non-stock items may show as in stock on the site, but state otherwise in the description.
A Note on Packaging
We recycle as much packaging as possible. If your package contains polystyrene chips, it is because we are re-using those which we have received. Please re-use packaging if you can. Remember too that cardboard (after removing tape) can be recycled as green waste at a local recycling centre, or better still as a valuable component of your home compost!
Liability
1. If the goods we deliver are not what you ordered or are damaged or defective or the delivery is of an incorrect quantity, we shall have no liability to you unless you notify us in writing of the problem within 10 working days of the delivery of the goods in question by writing to us at Oaks Online Shopping company Limited, Unit 3e, Beehive Business Centre, Beehive Lane, Chelmsford, Essex, CM2 9TE, or info@oaksonlineshoppingcompany.co.uk. All items are quality checked before being dispatched.
2. If you do not receive goods ordered by you within 30 days of the date on which you ordered them, we shall have no liability to you unless you notify us in writing of the problem within 40 days of the date on which you ordered the goods by writing to us at Oaks Online Shopping company Limited, Unit 3e, Beehive Business Centre, Beehive Lane, Chelmsford, Essex, CM2 9TE, or info@oaksonlineshoppingcompany.co.uk.
3. If you notify a problem to us under either of the above circumstances, our sole and exclusive obligation will be: to make good any shortage or non-delivery; or to replace or repair any goods that are damaged or defective; or to refund to you the amount paid by you for the goods (minus postage costs) in question in whatever way we choose.
4. Except as precluded by law, we will not be liable to you for any indirect or consequential loss, damage or expenses (including loss of profits, business or goodwill) howsoever arising out of, under or in connection with the contract between us and we shall have no liability to pay any money to you by way of compensation other than to refund to you the amount paid by you for the goods in question under Condition 3 above.
5. You must observe and comply with all applicable regulations and legislation, including obtaining all necessary customs, import or other permits to purchase goods from our site. The importation or exportation of certain goods to you may be prohibited by certain national laws. We make no representation and accept no liability in respect of the export or import of the goods you purchase.
6. Notwithstanding the foregoing, nothing in these Conditions is intended to limit any rights you might have as a consumer under applicable local law or other statutory rights that may not be excluded, nor in any way to exclude or limit our liability to you for any death or personal injury resulting from our negligence.
Right For You To Cancel Your Contract
You may cancel your contract with us for the goods you order at any time up to the end of the seventh working day from the date you receive the ordered goods. You do not need to give us any reason for cancelling your contract. Special/advance order items are subject to a £3.00 Admin fee.

Any cancellations by phone must be confirmed in writing within the permitted cancellation period. If you have received the goods before you cancel your contract then you must send the goods back to us Oaks Online Shopping company Limited, Unit 3e, Beehive Business Centre, Beehive Lane, Chelmsford, Essex, CM2 9TE, at your own cost and risk (we recommend tractable delivery) as soon as possible and together with all relative labels and packaging. Please also enclose a copy of your invoice.
If you cancel your contract but we have already processed the goods for delivery you must not unpack the goods when they are received by you and you must send the goods back to us at Oaks Online Shopping company Limited, Unit 3e, Beehive Business Centre, Beehive Lane, Chelmsford, Essex, CM2 9TE, at your own cost and risk as soon as possible. Once you have notified us that you are cancelling your contract, any sum debited to us from your payment/credit card will be re-credited to your account (minus fees) as soon as possible PROVIDED THAT the goods in question are returned by you and received by us in the condition they were in when delivered to you. If you do not return the goods delivered to you or you do not pay the costs of delivery, we shall be entitled to deduct the direct costs of recovering the goods from the amount to be re-credited to you.
Orders which are cancelled after packing and age verification checks will be credited to your card minus any associated fees.

Cancellation By Us
We reserve the right to cancel the contract between us if: we have insufficient stock to deliver the goods you have ordered; we do not deliver to your area or country; or one or more of the goods you ordered was listed at an incorrect price due to a typographical error or an error in the pricing information received by us from our suppliers. If we do cancel your contract we will notify you by email and will re-credit your account any sum deducted by us from your credit card as soon as possible. We will not be obliged to offer an additional compensation for disappointment suffered.
Privacy Policy & Proof of ID
It is our policy to respect the privacy of private communication. We will collect personal data only as provided to us during the ordering process, which you agree to supply to us as accurate (see below for restricted goods). Please remember, all payments are secure, going via SagePay or Paypal so we do not see your card details. The company will not disclose buyers' information to third parties.
If an order is placed for a restricted item (i.e. items with age restrictions) we will need to validate name, address and other personal information supplied by you during the ordering process against appropriate third party databases. By accepting these terms and conditions you consent to such checks being made. In performing these checks personal information provided by you may be disclosed to a registered Credit Reference Agency which may keep a record of that information. You can rest assured that this is done only to confirm your identity, that a credit check is not performed and that your credit rating will be unaffected. All information provided by you will be treated securely and strictly in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998.
PLEASE NOTE: If we require further details to validate your date of birth we will send an e-mail requesting a copy of ID. By placing an order you agree to provide additional information should we require it. Payment is taken at the time of checkout, If you decide not to provide extra information after accepting these terms your card will be refunded minus £2.00 GBP to cover the initial search fee. Any non-age restricted goods will still be sent and a credit for the age restricted items will be made to your card minus the search fee detailed above.
Events Beyond Our Control
We shall have no liability to you for any failure to deliver goods you have ordered or any delay in doing so or for any damage or defect to goods delivered that is caused by an event or circumstance beyond our reasonable control including, without limitation, postal strikes, lock-outs and other industrial disputes, breakdown of systems.
Knives & restricted products
Our policy is NOT to supply knives, implements or tools to persons under 18 years of age. By placing an order for knives / tools with us you declare that you are 18 years of age or over. We will need to validate name, address and other personal information supplied by you during the order process against appropriate third party databases. By accepting these terms and conditions you consent to such checks being made (see Privacy Policy & Proof of ID). These items must be used responsibly and appropriately.

We accept no responsibility to any person, persons or property relating to or as a result of misuse, defects or abnormalities, caused by or during the manufacturing or ongoing use of any of our products.
